Major Victory: Santa Clara County's Elite Gun Task Force Shuts Down Illicit 'Ghost Gun' Factory in Campbell

In a powerful blow against illicit firearms, the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Gun Violence Task Force has successfully dismantled a clandestine 'ghost gun' manufacturing operation in Campbell. The operation culminated in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Campbell, where authorities uncovered what District Attorney Jeff Rosen described as a veritable 'ghost gun factory.' The scale of the discovery was alarming: investigators seized dozens of unserialized firearms, often referred to as 'ghost guns' because they lack serial numbers and are virtually untraceable.

Alongside these finished weapons, the task force also confiscated an extensive array of gun parts, high-capacity magazines, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

Perhaps most concerning was the discovery of the means of production. The illicit workshop contained advanced manufacturing equipment, including 3D printers and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, used to fabricate the frames and receivers of these dangerous weapons.

Additionally, the raid yielded several illegal assault rifles, short-barreled rifles, and silencers, further underscoring the serious nature of the operation.

At the center of this illegal enterprise was Matthew Christopher Brubaker, 30, who was apprehended during the raid.
