The government, working through our prominent oil marketing companies, has just adjusted the rules for booking your next gas cylinder. Previously, if you'd just received a refill, you could technically place an order for another one after a mere 15 days. Well, it seems those slightly more flexible days are now behind us.

Effective November 1st, there’s a new, mandatory waiting period. You'll now have to cool your heels for a full 25 days before you can book your next LPG cylinder. That’s nearly an extra week and a half tacked onto the old system! This applies across the board, whether you're an Indane, HP Gas, or Bharat Gas customer.

Now, why the sudden shift, you might ask? It’s all part of a larger, concerted effort to crack down on the persistent issue of black marketing and the illegal hoarding of LPG cylinders.
