Machete Mayhem in North Central Regina: Man Charged After Terrifying Chase

A disturbing scene unfolded in a Regina neighbourhood over the weekend, leaving residents shaken and prompting a swift response from local authorities. Police were called to the 900 block of Retallack Street in North Central Regina on Saturday afternoon following alarming reports of a man wielding a machete and actively pursuing individuals.

Upon their rapid arrival at the scene, officers were met with a chaotic situation.

They quickly identified a male matching the description provided by witnesses – a man allegedly engaged in the terrifying act of chasing residents with the large, dangerous blade. The sight of such a weapon being used aggressively in public spaces understandably caused significant alarm.

The situation was brought under control without further incident as police moved in to apprehend the suspect.

The individual was identified as 34-year-old Preston Lee Brass. He was taken into custody by the Regina Police Service following a short and decisive intervention, ensuring the immediate safety of the community.
