They've been celebrating Oktoberfest with special flights for a while now, with the first long-haul flight featuring traditional costumes dating all the way back to September 1, 2006, from Munich to New York. This year, not only did the Bengaluru (LH764) crew get into the spirit, but passengers on the Beijing (LH722) route to Munich also enjoyed the same festive welcome. It's particularly special for Bengaluru, as the direct Lufthansa flight service connecting this dynamic Indian city with the heart of Bavaria only began relatively recently, in November 2023.
