And for Odia sprinting sensation Amiya Mallick, that moment is fast approaching. The national record holder in the 100m dash is all set to trade his track spikes for wedding bells, embarking on a beautiful new chapter with his fiancée, physiotherapist Shweta Venkat Attilli.

In truth, theirs is a story that feels straight out of a rom-com, starting with an injury and blossoming into an unexpected romance. Their paths, quite naturally, first crossed in a professional setting during the National Games way back in 2015, held then in scenic Kerala. Amiya, battling an injury that no doubt felt frustrating for a man known for his speed, was under Shweta's care. Both sides, it’s heartening to hear, gave their blessings wholeheartedly, recognizing the sincere connection between Amiya and Shweta. And now, the moment everyone’s been waiting for is nearly here: November 22nd. The couple will be tying the knot in Hyderabad, Shweta's hometown, in what promises to be a joyous celebration.

But the story doesn't end there, of course. After the festivities, the couple plans to make Bhubaneswar their home, a fresh start in the city Amiya hails from. What’s more, Shweta, with her expertise, has exciting plans to establish her own physiotherapy clinic there.
