Leh Erupts: Mass Protest Turns Violent as BJP Office Targeted Amid Statehood Demands

Leh, the serene capital of Ladakh, was engulfed in a tumultuous wave of protest on a recent afternoon, as a massive demonstration demanding statehood and constitutional safeguards under the Sixth Schedule escalated into violent clashes. The peaceful march, organized by the influential Apex Body Leh (ABL) and the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA), took a dramatic turn when protestors attempted to gherao the local BJP office, leading to a direct confrontation with law enforcement and significant property damage.
