Labor Day Weather Outlook for New Hampshire

Saturday turned out to be a bit of a dampener – clouds draped the state and temperatures lingered in the cool range. A few lingering showers managed to stick around into the early evening, but the worst of it seemed to be clearing out.

Come Sunday afternoon, the clouds start to retreat, making way for more sunshine. Expect daytime highs to hover in the low‑60s up north and climb into the low‑70s further south. It’s a gentle, pleasant lift that feels just right for a weekend outing.

Labor Day itself looks especially promising. The sky should stay mostly clear, letting the sun do its thing while temperatures reach the mid‑70s to the upper 70s. Toward the evening, though, a cold front will begin nudging in, and a few clouds may start to gather.

Looking ahead to Tuesday, the day will open with a few scattered clouds and the odd early‑morning shower. By the afternoon, though, sunshine should reclaim the skies, pushing highs again into the mid‑ to upper‑70s.

Mid‑week brings a shift. A cold front will swing through Wednesday into Thursday, bringing the next round of showers. Once the front passes, gusty northwest winds will usher in noticeably cooler air. Thursday night and Friday mornings will feel a lot colder, with lows slipping into the 40s across most of the state and even dipping into the upper‑30s in the northern valleys.

Friday, however, brightens up again. A sunny day is on the cards, with highs nudging back toward 70 degrees. By Saturday, the temperature trend will continue its gradual climb, setting the stage for a comfortable end to the week.
