Krafton India Rolls Out H2 2026 BGMI Esports Roadmap – BMIC & BMSD Unveiled

Krafton India has finally lifted the curtain on its second‑half 2026 competitive calendar for BGMI, and the excitement is palpable. Two flagship tournaments are set to dominate the scene: the BGMI International Cup (BMIC) and the BGMI Showdown (BMSD). Both come with a hefty prize pool of ₹1 crore, making them some of the biggest events of the year.

BMIC – Season 2 will be a full‑on LAN extravaganza from October 30 to November 1, 2026. The finals will light up the Dome at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Mumbai. Sixteen teams will battle it out – six from India, five from South Korea and another five from Japan. Expect high‑octane clashes as squads vie not just for the trophy but also for a slice of that juicy prize pool.

BMSD – the Showdown is a bit different. It’s an invite‑only domestic showdown, reserved for the country’s elite BGMI squads. No open qualifiers – teams earn their invite based on three performance metrics: the KIE Leaderboard, BGIS rankings, and BMPS points. In total, 48 teams will get the nod.

The Showdown’s timeline is packed. It kicks off on September 22 with three weeks of promotion/relegation matches, followed by upper‑ and lower‑bracket survival rounds in early October. Semi‑finals run from October 8‑11, a last‑chance stage on October 12‑13, and the LAN Grand Finals wrap things up between October 16‑18.
