Kinetic DX+ 3.1 kWh Scooter: Price, Range, Charging & the Missing Turbo Mode

Kinetic’s newest electric scooter, the DX+ with a 3.1 kWh battery, is listed at an ex‑showroom price of ₹1,27,650 in Pune. That figure, of course, doesn’t include taxes, registration fees, subsidies or any other regional charges, so you might see a slightly higher tag elsewhere.

On paper the DX+ boasts a 132 km Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) range – that’s about 27 km more than the older 2.6 kWh DX. But remember, IDC numbers are lab‑generated; they’re not a guarantee you’ll hit that mileage on your daily commute.

Kinetic’s own real‑world estimate for the 3.1 kWh model sits between 105 km and 110 km. In other words, you’ll likely see a modest bump over the 2.6 kWh version, but not the full 132 km you might be hoping for.

The scooter’s onboard charger can lift the pack from zero to about 80 % in roughly three hours. That’s a partial‑charge figure – a full top‑to‑bottom charge will take a bit longer, especially if you’re using a standard home outlet.

One surprise for fans is the motor output: the DX+ now runs a 3.8 kW hub motor, down from the 4.78 kW unit on the 2.6 kWh DX. The manufacturer kept the Range and Power modes, but the Turbo mode that used to give that extra burst of speed has been dropped. So, while you’re paying more for the bigger battery, you’re not getting a stronger motor.

On the convenience side, the DX+ does pack a few nice touches – 37 litres of under‑seat storage, Park Assist with reverse, regenerative K‑Coast technology, a retractable charging cable, and built‑in telematics. It also comes in five colours: red, blue, black, silver and white.
