The quiet lanes of Sarkesaru village, tucked away in the Sudrukumpa panchayat of Odisha's Kandhamal district, were abruptly plunged into a grim reality this past Friday. According to initial reports and the subsequent police investigation, the accused in this devastating crime is none other than Rabindra Majhi, Ratnakar’s own cousin. His son, Shiva, after receiving primary treatment at the same facility, was urgently referred to the MKCG Medical College & Hospital in Brahmapur. The move was deemed necessary for more extensive medical intervention, given the seriousness of his condition. Authorities from the Sadar police station have been quick to act, registering a case and launching a thorough investigation into the matter. Rabindra Majhi, the alleged perpetrator, has since been apprehended, and police are now delving into the precise sequence of events and the underlying motives that drove this terrible tragedy.
