Justice Nears: NIA Nabs Two Absconders in Praveen Nettaru Murder Case

After a persistent two-year hunt, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has finally managed a significant breakthrough in the chilling Praveen Nettaru murder case. This past Saturday, April 27th, the agency confirmed the arrest of two key individuals who had been on the run since the brutal incident back in July 2022. It's a moment many have been waiting for, bringing a sense of movement in a case that has gripped Karnataka.

The arrested individuals have been identified as S. Harish, also known by his alias Raju, and S. Keshava, who went by Keshav. Interestingly, their capture wasn't simultaneous or in a single location; Harish was apprehended in Bombay, while Keshava was taken into custody right there in Mangaluru. This really highlights the extensive, coordinated efforts involved in tracking down fugitives across state lines.

For nearly two years, these two men had managed to evade authorities, but not anymore. They were considered crucial absconders in the heinous murder of Praveen Nettaru, a BJP Yuva Morcha leader from Bellare. According to the NIA's ongoing investigation, their alleged roles extended beyond just being present; they were instrumental, accused of harboring other suspects, arranging vehicles for the perpetrators, and even providing financial support. Essentially, they were part of the logistical backbone for those directly involved in the crime.

You see, the Nettaru murder wasn't just a random act of violence. Investigators believe it was a calculated act, allegedly orchestrated by cadres of the now-banned Popular Front of India (PFI). The agency had even resorted to issuing non-bailable warrants against them and, quite significantly, announced cash rewards for any information that would lead to their apprehension.
