Jammu & Kashmir Under Siege: Torrential Rains Push Rivers to Alert Levels, 8 Districts on Red Alert

Jammu and Kashmir is currently grappling with a severe weather crisis as incessant and torrential downpours have pushed major rivers to alarming alert levels. The region is on high alert, with eight districts now under a red alert as authorities brace for potential flash floods and landslides, urging residents to exercise extreme caution.

The Basantar, Tawi, and Chenab rivers, vital lifelines for the region, are all flowing precariously at or above their designated alert levels.
