Inferno Ravages Navi Mumbai High-Rise: Four Dead, Ten Injured in Devastating Blaze

A wave of shock and sorrow has gripped Navi Mumbai following a catastrophic fire that engulfed a residential building in Ghansoli, claiming the lives of four individuals and leaving ten others injured. The tragic incident, which unfolded in the early hours, saw a 23-story high-rise become a scene of terror and desperate rescue efforts.

The devastating blaze erupted on the 14th floor of Millennium Tower in Sector 9, Ghansoli, swiftly spreading its destructive tendrils to the 15th floor.

Residents, many caught in their sleep, awoke to a nightmare of thick, acrid smoke and roaring flames. The rapid spread of the fire, suspected to have originated from a short circuit, trapped numerous occupants, turning their homes into hazardous infernos.

Among the victims were a heart-wrenching loss: a young girl and her parents, whose lives were tragically cut short.

Another individual also perished in the inferno, adding to the profound grief surrounding the incident. Ten others sustained injuries, ranging from severe burns to smoke inhalation, and were immediately rushed to MGM Hospital in Kalamboli and various civic hospitals for urgent medical attention.

Emergency services responded with commendable speed and courage.

Fire tenders from the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) and the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) were deployed, battling the fierce flames and orchestrating critical rescue operations. Firefighters worked tirelessly, navigating through smoke-filled corridors and intense heat to evacuate residents and bring the inferno under control, preventing an even greater catastrophe.

The tragic event has cast a pall over the community, prompting an outpouring of condolences from officials, including the Chief Minister, who expressed profound sorrow for the lives lost and the suffering endured.
