Indian Railways Revamps Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Schedule: What You Need to Know!

In a significant move just weeks after its much-anticipated launch, Indian Railways has announced a revised timetable for the popular Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express. This adjustment aims to fine-tune the service, enhancing operational efficiency and passenger convenience on this vital route connecting Rajasthan's Blue City with the national capital.

The high-speed Vande Bharat service, celebrated for its modern amenities and quicker travel times, was inaugurated with much fanfare.

However, post-launch analysis and feedback have prompted authorities to make strategic changes to its schedule, ensuring a smoother and more beneficial journey for commuters.

Under the new schedule, Train No. 12462, the Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, will now depart from Jodhpur at 05:40 AM, a slight alteration from its previous timing.

It is slated to reach Delhi Cantt at 12:05 PM, optimizing its arrival in the capital. Correspondingly, for the return journey, Train No. 12461, the Delhi Cantt-Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express, will depart from Delhi Cantt at 14:40 PM and arrive back in Jodhpur at 21:05 PM. These changes primarily affect the morning departure from Jodhpur and the afternoon departure from Delhi Cantt, offering different connectivity options for travelers.

Intermediate stops and their timings have also been adjusted to accommodate the overall schedule changes.

Passengers are advised to verify the updated timings for crucial halts on this route such as Jaipur, Alwar, and Gurugram. The revised schedule is effective from November 1, 2023, and travelers holding existing bookings for dates post-revision are strongly encouraged to check for any modifications to their journey details.

Railways officials stated that this revision is part of a continuous effort to optimize services based on real-world operational experiences and to cater more effectively to passenger demands.
