The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has unequivocally dismissed criticisms leveled by former White House trade advisor Peter Navarro, who accused India of engaging in 'vaccine nationalism'. The MEA's stance is clear: such remarks are unfounded and do not warrant a detailed rebuttal, underscoring India's consistent role as a benevolent global partner in public health.

Addressing a regular media briefing, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi stated, "Comments by Peter Navarro on India's vaccine strategy are uncalled for and do not merit a response." This firm but diplomatic response came after Navarro, a key figure in the Trump administration, publicly criticized India during an interview, alleging that the country was prioritizing its own vaccine supply to the detriment of others.
