IED Blast in Northwest Pakistan Leaves Three Dead, Including Tribal Chief

In the early hours of Thursday, an improvised explosive device (IED) ripped through a quiet settlement in Pakistan’s north‑west, taking the lives of three people. Among the dead was a well‑known tribal chief, a figure who many locals say had been working to keep the peace in the area.
