Hyderabad Prepares for Major Traffic Reroute Trial Around KBR Park

Heads up, Hyderabad! If your Sunday plans involve navigating the bustling areas around KBR Park, get ready for a significant change. The city's traffic police, in collaboration with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), are rolling out a major trial run this coming Sunday, March 10th. The goal? To test a new one-way traffic system that aims to untangle the daily snarls caused by those extensive flyover construction projects we've all been experiencing.

Think of it as a big experiment to see if we can get things flowing a bit smoother. The trial, slated for Sunday morning from 8 am to 1 pm, will specifically impact the roads encircling the iconic KBR Park. You know, that stretch where the Necklace Road meets Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills? That's the heart of the matter.

So, what exactly does this mean for your drive? Well, here’s the scoop: If you’re coming from the NFCL side – that’s generally the Necklace Road approach – heading towards KBR Park and further to Jubilee Hills Check Post, you’ll be good to go. Traffic will flow as usual in that direction. However, the big change comes if you're trying to travel the other way, from Jubilee Hills Check Post towards NFCL. That route will be temporarily closed off during the trial.

Instead, if you're originating from the Jubilee Hills Check Post area and want to get towards NFCL, you'll need to take a detour. You'll be diverted at Maharaja Agrasen Chowk, which is conveniently located right opposite the main KBR Park entrance. From there, you'll have a couple of options: either take a turn onto Road No. 12 in Banjara Hills, or follow the service road that runs alongside KBR Park, which will lead you towards NTR Bhavan.
