Horrific Ordeal Uncovered: 17-Year-Old Gang-Raped for Five Months, Seven Arrested in Hyderabad

In a deeply disturbing revelation that has sent shockwaves across Hyderabad, a 17-year-old girl endured a harrowing ordeal of repeated gang-rape for an agonizing period spanning over five months. The systemic abuse, which involved multiple perpetrators, only came to light when the victim's health severely deteriorated, compelling her to bravely confide in her mother.

Police have swiftly acted on the complaint, arresting seven individuals in connection with the horrific crime.

Among those apprehended are two minors, underscoring the grim complexity and widespread nature of the alleged abuse. The arrests were made following an intensive investigation launched after the victim's mother filed a formal complaint at the Nacharam police station.

According to police reports, the nightmare began for the young girl in October 2023 when she was allegedly lured by a friend’s boyfriend.

What started as a deceptive ploy quickly escalated into a prolonged period of torment. The victim was reportedly taken to various locations, including isolated areas and private residences, where she was repeatedly subjected to sexual assault by different individuals.

The sustained abuse took a severe toll on the girl's physical and mental well-being.

Her deteriorating health eventually led her to reveal the horrific truth to her mother, who, with immense courage and resolve, immediately approached the authorities. The complaint detailed the agonizing months of exploitation and named several individuals involved.

Responding with urgency, the Nacharam police registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) pertaining to gang-rape and kidnapping, along with sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, given the victim’s minor status.

The investigation teams worked diligently, gathering evidence and tracking down the accused.

All seven arrested individuals have been sent to judicial custody, with the two minors transferred to a juvenile home. The police have assured a thorough and expedited investigation to ensure that all perpetrators are brought to justice.
