In a heart-wrenching incident that has cast a pall of grief over Jaipur, seven individuals, including a child, tragically lost their lives when the car they were traveling in veered off the Ring Road and plummeted into a deep ditch. The devastating accident occurred late on a fateful night near Bada Padampura, as the two families were returning home after celebrating a wedding.

The victims, identified as three men, three women, and a young child, were all residents of Jaipur and part of an extended family group.

Their joyous journey back from a celebratory occasion was cut short by the unforeseen calamity, transforming what should have been a memory of happiness into one of profound sorrow.

Initial reports from local authorities indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle, a Mahindra Scorpio, causing it to breach the roadside barrier and fall several feet into a substantial pit.

Upon receiving alerts about the accident, police teams from Shipra Path and Chaksu, along with State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel, rushed to the scene. Rescue operations commenced immediately, working tirelessly to extract the victims from the mangled wreckage.

The bodies were subsequently recovered and transported to the mortuary at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
