Heartbreaking Highway Accident: 11-Year-Old Dies, Five Injured in Prayagraj

Early Saturday morning, a family's trip along the Prayagraj-Gorakhpur highway took a devastating turn, claiming the life of an 11-year-old boy and leaving five others, including young children, with injuries.

The unfortunate event unfolded near Rampur village in Prayagraj’s Nawabganj area. Reports indicate that an SUV, a Bolero, was traveling when one of its tires suddenly burst. One can only imagine the sheer terror and chaos inside the vehicle as the driver, Sarvan Kumar, desperately tried to maintain control. However, the loss of traction proved too much, and the SUV tragically collided with a stationary tractor trolley.

Among the occupants of the ill-fated vehicle was 11-year-old Ayaan, son of Mohammad Salim. Despite immediate efforts, the young boy succumbed to his injuries, a truly unbearable loss for his family. The accident also left five others injured, thankfully not fatally, but certainly shaken and in need of medical attention. Those injured include Ayaan's father, Mohammad Salim, his aunt Renu, and Renu’s two young children, six-year-old Akbar and four-year-old Arisha, alongside the SUV driver, Sarvan Kumar.

The family, residents of Pratapgarh, had been on their way to visit relatives in Prayagraj – a simple, joyful purpose that ended in such sorrow. All the injured were swiftly transported to SRN Hospital in Prayagraj, where thankfully, their conditions have been reported as stable. It’s a small comfort amidst such a profound loss, but crucial for their recovery.

Local police, upon receiving information about the horrific crash, quickly arrived at the scene. They meticulously collected evidence, initiated an investigation, and ensured the necessary procedures were followed, including sending Ayaan’s body for a post-mortem examination. An FIR has been registered, as is standard practice in such serious incidents, aiming to ascertain all the factors contributing to this terrible accident.
