Halifax Airport's Record-Breaking Summer: International Travel Soars by 41% in June

Even better, it solidified the period from April to June 2026 as the strongest second quarter the airport has ever seen, with passenger volumes swelling by 12 percent compared to Q2 2025. It really feels like the world is rediscovering Halifax, and we’re certainly welcoming them with open arms.

A big part of this exciting growth can definitely be attributed to the fantastic expansion of routes. This summer alone, the airport welcomed an impressive 15 new European flights. Imagine that!
