Gurugram Techie's Tragic End: Murder-Suicide Shocks Community After Chilling Confession Video

A somber cloud has descended upon Gurugram's Sector 49 following a harrowing incident where a tech professional allegedly murdered his wife before taking his own life. The tragic events unfolded when a chilling confession video, sent by the husband to a close friend, brought the horrifying details to light, prompting an urgent police intervention.

The deceased have been identified as Vikas Kumar, a software professional originally from Uttar Pradesh, and his wife, Komal.

The couple, who had only recently relocated to Gurugram about 20-25 days prior, found their new chapter ending in unspeakable tragedy. According to police reports, Vikas allegedly slit Komal’s throat before proceeding to die by suicide by hanging himself.

The alarm was raised late Tuesday night when a friend of Vikas received a disturbing video message.

In the video, Vikas reportedly confessed to killing his wife, leaving the friend in a state of shock and prompting an immediate call to the authorities. Responding swiftly to the distress call, a police team rushed to the couple's rented apartment in Sector 49.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the flat locked from the inside.

After forced entry, police personnel were met with a horrific scene: Komal's lifeless body lay on the floor, her throat fatally slit, while Vikas was found hanging. The bodies were immediately secured and later sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the precise cause and time of death.

A case has been registered by the Gurugram police, and a thorough investigation is now underway.
