Gurugram Police Foils Major Robbery Plot, Five Armed Suspects Apprehended in Udyog Vihar

Gurugram Police have achieved a significant breakthrough in their relentless efforts to combat crime, successfully apprehending five armed suspects in the Udyog Vihar Phase 1 area. The arrests, made following a crucial tip-off, effectively thwarted a meticulously planned robbery targeting a cash collection agent who was reportedly carrying a substantial sum of Rs 8 lakh.

The swift operation unfolded near the Mapple Hotel, where police officers, acting on precise intelligence, intercepted the group.

Upon their apprehension, authorities recovered two country-made pistols and five live cartridges, underscoring the serious nature of the suspects' intentions and their readiness to use force.

The individuals taken into custody have been identified as Praveen alias Sonu, Naveen alias Cheeka, Rahul alias Chotu, Mohit alias Monu, and Vipin.

Investigations have revealed that these individuals are not new to the criminal underworld; they are reportedly active members of the notorious Kala Jat gang, whose leader is currently incarcerated, directing operations from behind bars.

Delving further into their criminal backgrounds, Gurugram Police confirmed that the suspects have a documented involvement in multiple heinous crimes across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).

Their rap sheet includes a murder case registered in Delhi in 2023, as well as a significant robbery committed in Noida. Their apprehension is expected to dismantle a substantial part of the gang's operational capacity, bringing a sense of relief to residents and businesses in the region.
