Govinda Returns Home for Ganesh Chaturthi, Blesses His Children

Late‑night wheels turned on the tarmac as Bollywood’s own Govinda touched down from the US, a suitcase of smiles and a heart full of festive zeal. He stepped out of the aircraft, glanced at the night‑lit runway, and headed straight home, eager to be part of the Ganesh Chaturthi rituals that have become a family hallmark.

When the conversation shifted to his daughter, Govinda’s tone softened. “May God bless Tina with a good home and a happy family,” he expressed, “and Yash, the way he has carried forward his family’s legacy, I hope he becomes even more successful—so successful that people say he’s even better than Govinda.” A chuckle escaped him, as if the sentiment were both a father’s prayer and a gentle nudge.

Sunita, meanwhile, had her own story to tell. She confessed that this year she took the lead in bringing Ganpati home, singing and dancing with the kids—something usually left to Govinda or Yash. “Last year Bappa gave me so much fame and things went really well for me,” she said, laughing. She also hinted that Govinda might skip today’s darshan if he’s too tired, planning instead to attend tomorrow. “It’s his house, he has to come,” she added with a warm grin.
