He touched down in New Delhi on Saturday, just ahead of the main events, underscoring Belarus's active engagement on the international stage. His presence, even as Belarus isn't currently one of the eleven full member nations, speaks volumes about the expanding influence and draw of the BRICS grouping.

India, as the proud host of this year's summit, has truly outdone itself. The event, scheduled for September 12th and 13th, is being held right here in New Delhi. The theme chosen by India for its chairship, "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability," feels incredibly pertinent in today's complex global landscape, focusing on areas that are, let's be honest, vital for all of us.

Just on Friday, for instance, he engaged in separate, high-level discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres. It's worth noting that he and President Putin actually met quite recently at the 26th SCO Summit in Bishkek back in August, highlighting the ongoing dialogue between the two nations.

The BRICS bloc itself has certainly grown and evolved over the years, hasn't it? What started as Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa has now expanded to include Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, bringing the total to eleven influential countries. This expansion truly reflects a shifting global dynamic, a push for a more multipolar world, and the collective desire for cooperation on various fronts.
