On a breezy Tuesday, Gauri Khan popped up on Instagram with a short video that felt more like a heartfelt chat than a polished press release. In the clip she smiles, gestures toward glossy renderings, and tells fans why designing the penthouses at Shahrukhz Residences by Danube is "close to my heart."

The tower – a gleaming 56‑storey development on Sheikh Zayed Road – was launched in November 2025 and carries Shah Rukh Khan’s name as a tribute to the Bollywood legend. It’s part of a larger partnership between the actor’s team and the Danube Group, a Dubai‑based real‑estate giant led by Rizwan Sajan and his son Adel.

Gauri, who runs the interior‑design studio The Charcoal Project, says the brief was both thrilling and daunting. "I've designed many spaces over the years, but working on a project that carries @iamsrk’s name has been particularly close to my heart," she wrote. She added that she and Adel Sajan discovered a shared vision: to make a high‑rise apartment feel like a palatial mansion without sacrificing everyday comfort.

The penthouses themselves are meant to be a seamless blend of grandeur and livability. Think soaring living rooms that frame uninterrupted sea views, statement kitchens decked out in marble flooring, white cabinetry, and subtle gold‑finished hardware. Walk‑in wardrobes, polished finishes, and carefully curated lighting aim to give each corner a sense of luxury while still feeling like home.

In the same post, Gauri praised the collaboration with the Danube team. "It has been such a lovely journey working with Mr. @rizwan.sajan, @adelsajan and the entire @danubeproperties crew. Later, Danube Properties took to its own Instagram feed to showcase a fully furnished one‑bedroom unit from the tower. The snapshot highlighted a sleek kitchen – white cabinets, marble tiles, and touches of gold that echo the brand’s upscale aesthetic.

Shahrukhz Residences generated a buzz when Shah Rukh Khan himself attended the launch ceremony in 2025, a star‑studded affair that drew over 6,500 guests. According to reports, the commercial component of the project – a 55‑storey tower – already booked more than ₹5,000 crore in sales, underscoring the power of the actor’s name in the Dubai market.

While fans marvel at the upcoming homes, the king of romance has his eyes on the silver screen. Shah Rukh Khan is set to appear in "King," slated for release on December 24, 2026.
