Andrew K., a key figure in Sheeran's creative process, was on the hunt for a unique sound, and Ganesh's mastery of the ghatam – a traditional South Indian clay pot instrument – proved to be the perfect fit.

Operating from his Chennai studio, Ganesh meticulously recorded his parts, sending them across continents to Sheeran's team. 'Initially, I sent them several samples of my improvisations and traditional Carnatic beats,' Ganesh explains. 'Then, they sent me specific tracks and a clear brief for what they needed.

It was an exciting challenge to align my artistic expression with their vision for Ed Sheeran’s music.'
