From Fodder Scam Investigator to VP's Top Aide: The Illustrious Journey of Amit Khare

In a significant development within India's bureaucratic landscape, former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Amit Khare has been appointed as the Secretary to Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan. This crucial appointment, effective from the date he assumes charge, marks another pivotal chapter in Khare's distinguished career, which spans decades of public service and impactful contributions.

A 1985-batch IAS officer of the Bihar/Jharkhand cadre, Khare's career is dotted with challenging assignments and significant reforms, earning him a reputation as a bureaucrat of exceptional caliber.

Khare's tenure in the Union government saw him serve as Secretary in two critical ministries: the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

During his time at the Ministry of Education, he played an instrumental role in the conceptualization and implementation of the transformative National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This landmark policy aims to revolutionize India's education system, from early childhood care to higher education, reflecting Khare's vision and dedication to national development.
