Free Fries Roll Into Worcester’s Polar Park This Weekend

Imagine a giant, 43‑foot kitchen on wheels pulling up to Polar Park, the scent of hot oil and salty goodness drifting across the stadium. That’s exactly what’s happening this weekend for WooSox fans.

Checkers’ Fry Love Express, the chain’s rolling fry‑station, will be on site from Friday, September 18, through Sunday, September 20. They’re dishing out their “Famous Seasoned Fries” – free of charge – just before the first pitch each day.

Here’s the schedule, in case you want to line up early enough to snag a bag:

• Friday, Sept. 18: 3:05 p.m. – 6:05 p.m.
• Saturday, Sept. 19: 1:05 p.m. – 4:05 p.m.
• Sunday, Sept. 20: 10:05 a.m. – 1:05 p.m.

The Fry Love Express is a fully‑functional mobile kitchen. Inside the bright red truck, crew members fry, season, and serve the fries right there on the spot – no pre‑made bags, just fresh, crispy potatoes tossed in Checkers’ signature seasoning.

It’s a neat bit of promotion for Checkers, which opened its first New England storefront not long ago at 99 Gold Star Blvd., taking over the old Honey Dew Donuts space. The company, based out of Tampa, merged with Rally’s years back and is best known for its burgers, chicken, wings, and, of course, those seasoned fries.
