Fox News Host Urges Trump to End Iran Conflict as Midterms Loom

During Monday’s episode of The Ingraham Angle, the veteran Fox News commentator Laura Ingraham turned her usual political commentary into a direct plea to President Donald Trump. At 80, Trump is now overseeing a war that began in February 2026 alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the fighting shows no sign of easing.

U.S. forces have bombed Iranian targets for ten straight nights, following Iranian strikes that killed two American soldiers in Jordan and another in Iraq. In total, at least 17 U.S. troops have died since the conflict erupted. The situation grew worse this month after a tentative understanding between Washington and Tehran collapsed, prompting Iran to close the strategic Strait of Hormuz and the United States to reinstate its blockade of Iranian vessels in the Gulf of Oman.

“With the midterm elections a little more than 100 days away, the clock is ticking for President Trump to get out of this war before voters head to the polls,” Ingraham said, her tone mixing urgency with a hint of frustration. She cited a new Washington Post‑Ipsos poll showing 69 % of Americans disapprove of how the war is being handled.

Ingraham warned that the continuing conflict is making many Republicans nervous. “Republicans cannot let this become an endless distraction, especially if they want to win in November,” she added. The remarks struck a chord with viewers, many of whom flooded social media with scathing comments about the president’s handling of the fight.
