Four Young Men Shot in Jacksonville’s Duclay Area; Police Seek Suspect

At about 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, Jacksonville Sheriff’s deputies got a frantic call about a possible shooting on Ortega Woods Drive. When they pulled up, they discovered three guys—late‑teens, hanging out together—each with visible gunshot injuries.

Almost at the same moment, a second dispatch reported a victim on Ortega Park Boulevard, just a short drive away. The officers quickly realized the two incidents were linked, not two random shots.

In total, four young men are now in the hospital, receiving care for their wounds. The JSO hasn’t released details about the severity, but they’ve confirmed the victims are cooperating with investigators.

As of now, there’s no suspect in custody. Police say they view this as an isolated event and don’t believe there’s an ongoing threat to the community. Still, they’re urging anyone who saw anything—no matter how small—to come forward.
