Father Accused of Abducting Two Children Missing in Lancaster

On Thursday evening, just as the sun was slipping behind the San Gabriel Mountains, a worried mother watched her children disappear from the 1000 block of West Avenue J‑8 in Lancaster. The kids – a boy named Solomon and his sister Marozhina – were last seen at about 8 p.m. riding in a black 2011 Lincoln Town Car that police say belonged to their 71‑year‑old father, David Sukonick.

Both children are nine years old, stand roughly 4 feet 4 inches tall, weigh around 90 pounds, and share the same brown hair and brown eyes. Marozhina was wearing pink shorts and a white shirt, while Solomon sported blue shorts with an unknown‑colored top. The father, described as 5 feet 7 inches, 135 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes, has not been seen since the car drove away.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster Station is now treating the case as an alleged abduction. Officers say they are deeply concerned for the youngsters’ safety and are urging anyone who might have seen the vehicle or the family that night to call in.
