Epic Games Store Free Game of the Week Announced

On the back of free games every day, Epic Games Store is back to delivering freebies for its users per week. The latest free game of the week is Sail Forth, a sailing adventure game. The game became available on January 11, 2024, and it will be free to claim until January 18 when it gets replaced by a different title.

Love, a reductive platformer game, will be free to claim from January 18 to January 25. Sail Forth Let’s talk about the current free game first. is developed by David Evans, a solo indie game developer, under the studio name “Festive Vector.” The game offers a vast ocean to explore using customizable ships.

You can explore various flora, and fauna, and encounter both friendly and dangerous NPCs in your adventures. Sail Forth is all about expanding your fleet of ships and customising them to your liking. You can upgrade your ships as well to fend off pirates while seeking hidden treasures for yourself. While there’s a campaign mode to embark on, a Free Sail mode is also available where you can simply navigate the seas for as long as you please.

Love is another indie game from developer Fred Wood. Released in 2008, the game offers a minimalistic, pixel art style with levels only featuring black, white, and a custom colour that changes with every level. The 2D platformer features linear levels and the protagonist can move left, right, and jump, as they navigate through each level with progressively increasing difficulty offered.
