As we officially step into September, Easton is truly buzzing with a wonderful array of community events and, of course, a well-deserved holiday on the horizon. It's the perfect time to get out, mingle, and really soak up the vibrant spirit of our town. So, let's take a peek at what's in store for the coming days.

Kicking things off on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, our civic-minded residents in the West Ward have an important opportunity to make their voices heard. The West Ward Clean & Safe Meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the lovely Plants & Coffee. This gathering is ideal for anyone passionate about improving neighborhood conditions and discussing quality-of-life issues that truly matter to us all. It's a chance to collaborate and brainstorm solutions in a welcoming environment.

And speaking of the West Ward, Thursday evening also brings the delightful West Ward Market, which is set to run from 5 to 8 p.m. You'll find it at its new home, the Community Garden located at 10th and Pine streets. It's fantastic to see this weekly neighborhood market flourish, offering up a convenient spot to grab some fresh produce and support local vendors right in the heart of the community. What a wonderful way to spend a Thursday evening!

Fast forward to Saturday, September 5th, 2026, and prepare yourself for the crown jewel of our local food scene: the Easton Farmers' Market! From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Scott Park, nestled along Larry Holmes Drive, will transform into a bustling hub of activity. You can expect to find over 50 incredible local and regional vendors, each bringing their freshest produce, artisanal goods, and unique creations. It’s absolutely free to attend, and for added convenience, they happily accept EBT. Honestly, there's nothing quite like strolling through the market on a crisp Saturday morning, discovering new favorites and supporting our hardworking local farmers and makers.

Finally, as the week draws to a close, we'll be looking forward to Labor Day on Monday, September 7th, 2026. This much-anticipated holiday means many of us get a chance to relax and enjoy a long weekend.
