Early Morning Gunfire Shatters Sunday Calm in Southwest Calgary

The tranquility of a Sunday morning in Southwest Calgary was shattered by the sound of gunfire, leading to a significant police response in the Killarney neighborhood. Authorities were called to the 1300 block of 29 Street S.W. shortly after 2 a.m. following reports of a shooting incident.

Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

He was transported to a local hospital in what was initially described as life-threatening condition. Fortunately, medical personnel were able to improve his status, and he has since been upgraded to stable.
