Devastating Dawn: Fatal Truck Collision on Delhi-Jaipur Highway Claims One Life

The dawn hours on the Delhi-Jaipur highway (NH-48) can be particularly treacherous, and sadly, Friday morning brought yet another grim reminder of this reality. Near Gurugram, a devastating truck collision unfolded, claiming one life and leaving another person injured, painting a somber picture against the breaking light.

The incident, which occurred sometime around 5:30 AM, involved two heavy vehicles. According to local police, a truck laden with plastic granules had come to a halt on the busy highway—specifically near the Khandsa village exit—after suffering a puncture. While the truck's helper, 35-year-old Bhim Singh, was reportedly engaged in checking the compromised tyre, tragedy struck with brutal force.

From behind, another truck, travelling on the same stretch, collided with the stationary vehicle. The impact was immense. Bhim Singh, who was outside at the time, bore the brunt of the collision and, heartbreakingly, died instantly at the scene. It’s a stark reminder of the extreme dangers faced by those who must stop on high-speed roads.

The driver of the second truck, identified as Joginder (40), also sustained injuries in the chaotic aftermath. The force of the crash was so severe that his vehicle subsequently overturned, adding to the disarray on the highway. Emergency services were quick to respond, and Joginder was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, where he is currently recovering from his injuries.

Authorities from the local police station have since registered a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the incident.
