Denton Man Receives Decades-Long Sentence for Heinous Child Exploitation Crimes

DENTON, Texas – In a resounding affirmation of justice, a Denton County man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for horrific acts of child exploitation, bringing a measure of closure to a deeply disturbing case.

John Adam Ceniceros, 41, faced the consequences of his egregious actions in Denton County court, where Assistant District Attorney Nicole Green presented a compelling case, leading to a substantial sentence handed down by Judge Brody.

Ceniceros pleaded guilty to three counts of child exploitation, acknowledging the severe nature of his crimes.

The indictment against Ceniceros, brought forth in October 2022, originally included two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child and four counts of possession of child pornography.

These charges stemmed from a period of exploitation that tragically spanned from 2017 to 2022, targeting a victim who was under the age of 14.

The painstaking investigation that led to Ceniceros's conviction was a collaborative effort, spearheaded by the Highland Village Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations Dallas.

The case was ignited by a critical Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), underscoring the vital role national and local agencies play in safeguarding children.

Beyond the 40-year sentence for child exploitation, Ceniceros also received an additional 20-year sentence for a separate case involving the possession of child pornography.

Judge Brody mandated that both sentences would run concurrently, ensuring that Ceniceros will serve a significant term behind bars.
