Yoshihiro Miyajima, the director of Delicious in Dungeon, is the first director at Studio Trigger to have been nurtured within the studio. Prior directors of Trigger's titles had previously worked at different companies, such as Gainax. Miyajima began his journey at the studio in January 2012, serving as a production manager on various projects.

His initial role was on Sword Art Online, which, although produced by A 1 Pictures, was outsourced to Trigger. His repertoire includes contributions to works like Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Little Witch Academia, and Kill la Kill. After working as an episode director and assistant director, Miyajima eventually took the lead role for Delicious in Dungeon.
