Delhi Zoo's Great Escape: Another Jackal Rescued, Two Still Roaming

Well, folks, there's a bit of good news mixed with ongoing suspense coming out of the Delhi Zoo. After what must have been a tense few days, a second golden jackal, one of the intrepid adventurers that recently made a dash for freedom, has finally been rescued.

But don't breathe too deep a sigh of relief just yet, because the saga isn't quite over. You see, two more of these sly creatures are still out there, somewhere within the zoo's sprawling premises, making the search operation very much a live and active one.

The latest rescued jackal was found not too far from home, thankfully. It was spotted and successfully secured right near the staff quarters, quite close, in fact, to its original enclosure. You can imagine the sense of relief among the zoo staff who've been working tirelessly to track these escapees down since they first went missing sometime last week.

Now, the big question on everyone's mind is, of course, 'How on earth did they manage to get out in the first place?' Zoo officials are currently scratching their heads, suspecting that these clever animals either dug a tunnel – yes, really, a tunnel! – or perhaps found a sneaky weak spot in their enclosure that allowed for a rather dramatic exit. It's quite a feat, frankly, and certainly keeps the animal keepers on their toes.

So, with one more safely back, the focus firmly shifts to the two remaining missing jackals. Teams are diligently combing the area, hoping to locate and bring them back without any further fuss. This whole incident, it's worth noting, isn't the first time the Delhi Zoo has faced such a challenge; a leopard also made an unscheduled outing not too long ago, which naturally raises questions about security protocols and animal containment here. Here's hoping the remaining two are found safe and sound very soon.
