Delhi Parking Rage: Six Injured as Neighbourhood Dispute Turns Brutal in Mayur Vihar

A seemingly trivial parking dispute in Delhi's bustling Mayur Vihar Phase-3 took a terrifying turn on Friday, escalating into a brutal street brawl that left six individuals injured and hospitalized. The incident underscores the alarming rise of urban tensions, where minor disagreements can quickly spiral into shocking acts of violence.

The conflict reportedly began when a member of the Sharma family parked his car near a neighbour's house.

What started as a verbal argument between the two families soon degenerated into a full-blown physical altercation. Witnesses describe a chaotic scene where iron rods, sticks, and even stones were wielded as weapons, transforming the residential street into a battleground.

Five members of the Sharma family—identified as Shashi Sharma, Ankit Sharma, Anil Sharma, Akash Sharma, and Rahul Sharma—sustained injuries during the violent clash.

From the opposing side, Shravan Kumar also suffered injuries. All six injured parties were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, with the extent of their injuries currently under evaluation.

Upon receiving a PCR call regarding the disturbance, Delhi Police swiftly arrived at the scene to control the situation and commence an investigation.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged, charging individuals under stringent sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), 506 (criminal intimidation), 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), and 34 (common intention). The inclusion of Section 308 highlights the gravity with which the police are treating this incident.

The local authorities are now thoroughly investigating the matter, gathering statements from witnesses and awaiting the detailed medical reports of the injured.
