Delhi NGO Founder Assaulted in Shocking Cab Fare Dispute

Vivek, known for his compassionate work with 'Humans of Humanity,' found himself in a terrifying predicament. He had hailed a cab near the bustling AIIMS area, as many of us do, expecting a routine ride. However, things quickly spiraled out of control when it came time to settle the bill. According to Vivek's complaint, he opted for a digital payment, a UPI transaction, only for the driver, identified as Mohammad Asif, to claim he hadn't received the funds. What followed was a heated argument, escalating far beyond mere words.

The situation, unfortunately, turned violent. Vivek alleges that Asif, in a shocking fit of rage, physically assaulted him. He reportedly suffered a blow to the face, resulting in a nose injury and significant bleeding. An official First Information Report (FIR) was promptly registered against the driver, Mohammad Asif, under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. It didn't take long for the police to act, confirming that the alleged assailant has since been apprehended.
