DC OTT Release Date: When & Where to Watch Wamiqa Gabbi and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Film Online

After a theatrical run that hauled more than ₹100 crore worldwide, Arun Matheswaran’s much‑talked‑about film DC finally jumps to the small screen. If you’ve been waiting to binge it from the comfort of your couch, the good news is that Sony LIV will roll it out on 16 October.

What’s even nicer is that the streaming service isn’t limiting you to just one language. The movie will be available in five tongues – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada – so you can pick the version that feels most natural to you.

For those who missed the cinema, DC is a high‑octane mix of romance, action and drama. The story orbits around Devadas, nicknamed “Das” (played by Lokesh Kanagaraj), a rough‑around‑the‑edges outlaw who lives by his own code. His world tilts upside‑down the moment he meets Parvathy, a soulful singer, while Wamiqa Gabbi’s character Chandra is wrestling with survival in a cut‑throat neighbourhood. As their lives intersect, love, betrayal and revenge become tightly‑knit threads that pull the narrative forward.

Critics have been generous. Moneycontrol’s review praised Matheswaran’s knack for weaving raw, pulse‑pounding action with character‑driven moments, noting that some sequences even echo the stylised flair of a Quentin Tarantino crime drama. The film also dishes out visual homages – think Chandra’s silk‑smith‑inspired saree, red lips and a rose‑adorned hairdo, or Das’s silver kada that tip‑toes around Vijay’s look in Master.

Besides the leads, the ensemble includes Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Kasthuri Raja and Thalaivasal Vijay, each adding a layer of depth to an already rich tapestry. After its successful box‑office run in August 2026, the OTT debut aims to widen its audience, letting fans across India and beyond enjoy the film without queuing for tickets.

So, mark your calendars, fire up Sony LIV, and get ready for a roller‑coaster ride of emotions, stunts and unforgettable moments. Whether you’re a die‑hard fan of Tamil cinema or just in the mood for a gripping love‑and‑revenge saga, DC has something to keep you glued to the screen.
