While the new Moana remake is still making its rounds in theaters, another Disney classic may be nudging its way toward a live‑action makeover. According to Deadline, Colman Domingo has joined forces with “Slave Play” director Robert O’Hara to draft a script that spotlights the beloved Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog.

At this stage, the venture is very much in the “early days” camp. That means Disney could give it the thumbs‑up and move it into full development—or it could quietly disappear, depending on how the higher‑ups feel about expanding the franchise.

It’s worth noting that Disney has already tossed aside a few potential spinoffs lately. A Gaston‑centric film and a follow‑up for the Aladdin remake’s Billy Magnussen character were both passed on. So a Tiana‑led live‑action movie would be a surprisingly bold move.
