Imagine, if you will, a city-wide canvas painted with some 18 "marquee events" – the showstoppers, you could say – alongside an astonishing 150-plus programmes! It’s truly an ambitious undertaking, all designed to not only showcase the very best of Coimbatore, its rich heritage, its burgeoning industries, and its incredible talent, but also, crucially, to stitch our community closer together. And honestly, isn't that what a great festival should do? It brings us together, makes us feel like we belong.

What can one expect? A little bit of everything, it seems! Picture the Vizha Cycle Rally, for instance, kicking things off with a burst of energy, or the delightful rumble of a Vintage Car and Bike Rally, a real treat for the eyes, rolling through our streets. And for those with an artistic bent, there’s a Street Photography Competition, capturing fleeting moments of our city's soul, which, I think, is a lovely touch. But wait, there’s more; much, much more.

Music, of course, will fill the air – from the classical notes of Carnatic to the lively beats of Fusion and Western genres. We’ll hear new voices, too, through the Vizha Voice singing competition, perhaps discovering the next big talent right here at home. And who doesn't love a good market? The Vizha Sandhai promises an absolute treasure trove for shoppers, while an array of inter-school competitions will nurture the minds of our younger generation. Oh, and the food! Let's not forget the Food Festival, because, frankly, what's a celebration without some truly delicious bites?

Beyond the immediate fun, the Vizha extends its embrace to broader horizons. There are stimulating talks and discussions planned, certainly food for thought, and a spirited Vizha Run for those who like to hit the pavement. And for the city’s economic pulse, the Vizha Expo will shine a spotlight on our vital MSME sector. Not to mention, film buffs will be delighted by the Vizha Film Festival, and artists can revel in the Vizha Art and Craft Fair. Plus, we're talking about various other cultural performances that promise to be absolutely mesmerizing.

But here’s something truly special: imagine our city's historic buildings bathed in a glorious glow, lit up for the occasion, and then, a stunning drone show painting the night sky.
