CJP’s Ashutosh Ranka Calls July 20 Protest a ‘Trailer’, Warns Youth Will Take Down Government if Demands Ignored

In a brisk interview with ANI, Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka warned the Union government that the July 20 demonstration was merely a “trailer” – a teaser, if you will – for something far larger.

He went on to call the ongoing sit‑in the “biggest movement in India’s post‑independence history”. 
Ranka’s tone was unmistakable: if the government fails to accede to the protesters’ list of demands, “millions more will come to Delhi”. 
He added, almost as a warning, that the country’s youth would “take them down very badly”.

When asked whether the July 20 march had been peaceful, Ranka pushed back hard against the narrative that the students were anything but. 
“The march on the 20th was peaceful,” he said, “the chaos began only when police unleashed brutality on students.” 
He emphasized that the demonstrators have been sitting for 31 days, inspired by the principles of Gandhi and Ambedkar.

The core demand that Ranka repeated, almost verbatim, was a promise that no FIR would ever be filed against any protester. 
“If any FIR is lodged, the agitation will not end,” he declared, noting that the leadership is ready to face arrest under the UAPA or NSA from day one – “jail is a small price to pay for our fight.”

Ranka also made a surprising overture to the political establishment, inviting any party – even members of the BJP – to join the movement. 
“This is a huge movement and the demand is genuine. We welcome all of them,” he said, urging a united front.

Elsewhere in Delhi, opposition MPs plan to stage a separate protest outside the Makar Dwar of Parliament, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and raising concerns over alleged NEET‑UG irregularities. 
The demonstration is slated for 10:30 a.m., and the lawmakers will also condemn the police action on July 20.
