Celina Jaitly Marks Two Years Since Brother’s Detention in the UAE

On September 6, 2026, actress Celina Jaitly posted a heartfelt note on Instagram, marking the second anniversary of her brother Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly’s detention in the United Arab Emirates.

She wrote that she has not heard a single word from him since his arrest on September 6, 2024, yet her love for him “remains unchanged.” The message was tinged with both sorrow and stubborn hope, as she affirmed that she has done everything in her power as a sister and continues to place her faith in God and the Government of India.

Celina also reminded her followers of Vikrant’s distinguished military career – a fourth‑generation infantry officer who later joined the elite 3 Para Special Forces, served with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, and was awarded the Chief of the Army Staff Commendation for Gallantry.

She described him as “all I have besides my sons,” adding that their parents are no longer alive and that the memories and prayers she holds onto are the only bridges left between them.

The legal battle that accompanied the personal anguish is also part of the story. In November 2025 the Delhi High Court had ordered the central government to secure effective legal representation for Vikrant and to try to establish contact with his sister. However, by March 2026 the court dismissed Celina’s petition after learning that her brother preferred his wife, Charul Jaitly, to act as his sole legal representative and that he did not wish to communicate with his sister.

Celina hinted that his decision might be a protective measure, sparing her further emotional distress. “My love for you remains unchanged, bhai,” she wrote, “I will always stand by you, wherever you are, however you are.”

As the two‑year mark passes, the actress continues to advocate for her brother’s safety and well‑being, hoping that one day the silence will break and the family can be reunited.
