The lead couple, Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung, who play King Lee In and Kang Hee Soo, respectively, spoke about their chemistry in the K drama. Jung Suk recalled that he always wanted to work with Shin Se Kyung, so he was extremely happy when he heard that she was cast opposite him. He further said (originally in Korean), “When we actually did it, the chemistry was so good that it was almost like nagging.” Jong Suk continued to reiterate that although the chemistry between the lead actors is important, it can only be relayed well on screen if the duo can establish good chemistry off screen.
He expressed that Se Kyung “was very good in that aspect as well.” Meanwhile, Shin Se Kyung also had some positive reflections on her chemistry with Jong Suk. She said (originally in Korean), “In the middle and latter half of the drama, Hee Soo’s emotional conflict intensifies.
