But here's where the narrative truly takes an unexpected turn. While 'Haiwaan' tries to gain some traction, 'Hanuman Ansh' continues its absolutely phenomenal, almost unbelievable, run. This is a film that reportedly had a tiny budget of just Rs 2 crore, yet it's been pulling in numbers that put much larger productions to shame.

To give you some perspective, on its 36th day – yes, you read that right, its 36th day! – 'Hanuman Ansh' raked in an astounding Rs 10.50 crore. That's more than double what 'Haiwaan' made on its second day! And the magic didn't stop there. On its 37th day (Saturday), it continued its impressive streak, collecting another Rs 7.91 crore so far. This takes its overall collection to a mind-boggling Rs 214.49 crore. It just goes to show you, sometimes, it's not about the star power or the budget, but simply about connecting with the audience.

Now, while 'Haiwaan's' lukewarm reception is certainly a disappointment, it's unlikely to significantly dent Akshay Kumar's overall standing. He's had a pretty solid 2026, actually. His earlier films this year, 'Bhooth Bangla' and 'Welcome to the Jungle', both performed rather well, with 'Bhooth Bangla' even turning into a certified hit. So, a single film struggling, especially one with perhaps limited pre-release expectations, probably won't shake his reputation too much.
