It all began with a particular scene from Ranveer Singh’s recent film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Following its release, Kangana Ranaut weighed in, suggesting that Ranveer's 'fragile' image was being used by Deepika as a 'prop' to portray herself as a 'victim.' He didn't stop there. Pandit emphasized that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are, in his view, "respectable artists who have achieved their position due to their talent and hard work." This was a clear rebuttal to Kangana's insinuation that their public image or relationship was somehow manufactured or manipulative. He stressed that their success is a result of their dedication, not some cleverly crafted PR stunt, as Kangana seemed to suggest.

In a final piece of advice—or perhaps, a subtle jab—Pandit urged Kangana to concentrate on her own career and upcoming projects. "You should talk sense and focus on your work," he concluded, essentially telling her to mind her own business.
