BJP Launches ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ – A Month‑Long Tribute to PM Narendra Modi’s 25 Years of Public Service

On September 17 the BJP will roll out a month‑long "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan", a series of 25 service‑oriented events spread across the nation. The idea is simple: honour Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service by getting ordinary people to roll up their sleeves.

The opening day is being dubbed “Seva Diwas”. Across towns and villages blood‑donation camps will pop up, inviting anyone who can spare a pint to help. In the evening, at every party booth, volunteers will light an "Aashirwad Ka Diya" – a small lamp symbolising gratitude for Modi’s two‑and‑a‑half‑decade journey.

You’ll also see a flurry of activities aimed at the younger crowd. From September 17 to October 7 schools will host drawing and speech competitions under the banner “Mere Sapno Ka Bharat”. Kids get to sketch their vision of India, while the best orators earn a shout‑out on local media. Parallel to that, the "Namo Seva‑Ankahi Kahaniyan" programme will stage music and theatre performances that echo themes of service.

Community outreach doesn’t stop there. Between September 25 and October 7 the party will run "Aangan Milan Seva" – a nod to anganwadi and ASHA workers who are the backbone of rural health. These frontline heroes will be publicly honoured, and a "Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra" on October 7 will see participants carry a lit kalash, pledging to push for a developed India.

Another practical strand is the "Seva Setu Abhiyan" at the block level. Mini‑camps will guide citizens on how to tap into various government schemes – a kind of walk‑through for benefits that often get lost in paperwork. The whole campaign will wrap up on October 17 with a "Sushasan Seva Samvad", a dialogue on good governance and the way forward.

BJP national president Nitin Nabin framed the drive as a celebration of a nation that, in his words, moved "from despair and darkness" to becoming the world’s fastest‑growing major economy under Modi’s leadership. Whether the campaign sparks genuine grassroots action or serves as a political showcase, it certainly adds a busy calendar of events for the next month.
